Tecovas
Tecovas was founded in Austin, Texas in 2015 with a simple idea: make better Western boots, the right way. The boots are still designed in Austin and handmade in León, Mexico — the leather-working capital of the world — in a process that runs to more than 200 steps.
Tecovas
The appeal for us is the balance: real heritage bootmaking with silhouettes clean enough to wear well beyond a rodeo. We buy the women’s Western boots, from tall classics to sleeker shorter shafts.
How Tecovas fits
- A Western boot should feel snug across the instep at first; the leather relaxes and molds to your foot with wear.
- Expect a little heel slip in a new pair. That is normal for a cowboy boot and settles as the sole breaks in.
- Tall shafts sit beautifully under a midi or maxi dress, or over a straight or skinny jean. Shorter styles work with cropped denim and shorter hemlines.
Questions we get asked
What size should I get?
Start with your usual size and come try them on in the store — boot fit is personal. Call 225-223-6419 and we will check what we have in your size before you drive over.
How do I care for them?
Wipe off dust and dirt with a soft cloth, condition the leather now and then, and let them dry naturally away from direct heat if they get wet.
Can I return boots?
Shoes are final sale at Lukka, so we strongly recommend trying them on in store or calling us for fit advice first. Order online for in-store pickup in Baton Rouge if you would like to collect them in person.
